Ca. 600-800 AD A Judeo-Aramaic "devil trap" terracotta bowl with 10 black lines of inscription spiralling around the interior. In between the inscription, is a male demon with his feet chained. Bowls like this example were traditionally buried face down under houses to catch demons and thus protect the house; they are also known as incantation bowls or demon bowls.
