观音为香樟木质地，面目饱满，头绾发髻，五官刻画写实，身披广袖袈裟，下着高腰长裙，衣纹流畅写实，用简练的线条充分表现出衣物的质感，写实技法高超，右手扶膝，左右持经卷，自在姿态半倚于山石。
整尊作品造型比例协调，工艺技法娴熟，线条精炼，刀法有力，干净利落，注重神韵的表现，望之俨然，神思妙凝，给人想象空间。斑驳的漆金彩绘更凸显出造像古朴厚重的历史感，为明代木雕造像的精品，艺术造诣和收藏价值颇高。
