此件圆觚身形圆浑，朴拙隽永。器分三段，喇叭形撇口，中腹微弧，上下双弦，下部有两处透空装饰，底承圈足。颈部光素无纹，腹部及下段均饰以饕餮纹。通体以绿松石、翡翠等研磨成粉，作仿古铜绿锈装饰，传承年代久远，覆之以浓厚的包浆，古意盎然。
此觚最为特殊之处为，器身纹饰非常见的浮铸技法，而以阴刻表现，透露出浓浓的古雅隽逸之姿，最宜书斋插花观赏，引人常入“影落空阶初月冷，香生别院晚风微”之境
