16/17th C. Chinese Ming Dynasty Wanli Wucai porcelain plate. The porcelain plate potted with a shallow body, broad wide cavetto, with a slightly flared lip and shallow draft. Hand-painted ornamentations are rendered in Wucai hue which contrasts against the five opaque colors. The central interior decorated with vigorous horse carriage within circle landscape, interspersed with green scrolling ruyi, various archaic ornament , enclosed with double fine cobalt blue rings thick lines. The outer central decorated with scrolling tendril and fresh green foliage, lotus flowers blooms in various tones color, the border rim with blue fine ring in a clean white underglaze base ground. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The under base bear a reign mark, a vertical six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Made in The Years of Wanli Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.Measurements: 1-3/8" H x 7-7/8" Diam.PROVENANCE: From the collections of Mrs. Gillilan estates from Kensington, W.
