Large Chinese Qing Dynasty blue and white douqing glazed porcelain moon vase. Thick potted in a flattened round body, tapered gracefully toward narrow straight neck leading to a flat the rim, raised on splayed oval foot base. Two shaped archaic pattern ribbon handles flanked from shoulder to the neck. The main body delicately in Douqing hand painting, all reserved in pale-turquoise- pale green celadon underglaze ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human pale white skin. The decoration of resembled eight petal lappets radiating from a centralized tri-crossed vajra medallion, each petal enclosing one of the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bordered with bands of key fret and auspicious patterns. The neck and foot base interspersed by dense of lotus scrolling foliate and tendril in a blue and white color. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, amazing crackling effect throughout the underglaze which produces fantastic a smooth textured surface. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. Displayed exquisitely upon a carved hardwood stand in leafy lappets motif.
