FINE Chinese Qianlong phoenix Zun vase. Thick potted in form of Chinese traditional sun vessel, of a semi rectangular pear shape, bottom-heavy body with wider prominent neck flared to the opening mouth with gilt auspicious pattern on the over the body. Two ears beak phoenix flanked on the neck. The shape is uniformly proportioned. hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the iron-red fine color. The neck decorated with auspicious and geometric pattern, banded with thick single iron-red ring line on the top mouth rim. The main body decorated of two descending phoenix facing face a big lotus bloom on the center, interspersed with scrolling tendril, various foliage, and scrolling ruyi clouds. Auspicious pattern with double fine iron-red rings lines decorated on the foot base rim. The phoenix was commonly referred to as the "King of Birds. Phoenix (Feng-Huang) represents exquisiteness, goodness, warmth, prosperity, peace, the Sun, abundant harvests, and reason in government. The color in iron-red and white balanced, elegant and exquisite. The bottom forms a substantial ring-base with a flat offset face. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.
