Sturdy potted porcelain jar in a large globular shape, shallow basin circumscribed with a curvaceous wall of porcelain, supported the wide gallery opening, within robust shoulder region curving into a feminine waist that extends gently tapered toward the flat base, all the way to the bottom forming the raised circular base. hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The main body decorated with big lotus pond flowers blooms interspersed with fresh foliage , scrolling vines and scrolling tendril. The shoulder decorated with scrolling tendril, foliage and Various flowers blooms called Flowers of the Four Seasons and scrolling archaic pattern on the upper shoulder rim. Auspicious pattern decorated on the foot base rim, and interlocking ruyi clouds pattern decorated on the neck jar. All section part banded with double fine blue rings lines. The lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind. It also represents long life and honor. The lotus flower is depicted in Chinese art, poetry and architecture. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze cobalt blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy and shading to the design. The glaze stopping before the foot rim, revealed the pale-creme ground, with orange and grayish firing marks.
