An Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Gilt-Bronze Censer. Potted in the form of globular body with open flat rim and raised on flat foot base. Two mystical beast twig flanked below the rim to the lower body created handles from neck to the lower belly. The main body carved very detailing of flower blooms, various foliage, auspicious pattern. Scrolling ruyi, interlocking tendril carved on the shoulder enclosed with thick gilt bronze ring line. The Amazing condition with a natural patina giving this piece an unforgettable appearance. The bronze is bright and lustrous as the light is easily reflected from the well-polished surfaces. The plaques split in the middle section, and fitted perfectly upon each other. There is a light grey patina noted in several creases. The under-base bears a reign mark, a four incised script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period.Measurements: 2-5/8" H x 6-1/4" W PROVENANCE: From the private collections of Madame Kimball, of Boston, Massachusetts, by inheritance.
