EXTRAORDINALY. 18th C. Chinese nephrite jade censer. Carved unto a bulbous deep vessel, with wide opening mouth, raised on splayed three foot base and the dome with ruby-red coral finial. Protruding from the shoulder is two elephant masks. Free hanging jade rings are entrapped by the elephant trunk. The dome lid open carved hardwood pierced in scrolling floral motif, crowned with Lingzhi shaped finial. The jade censer presented upon a carved tall hardwood stand. The nephrite stones displays clean even tone, in pale celadon color, finely polished with beautiful translucent. The Expert workmanship is the absolute highlight of this gorgeous nephrite jade screen, a portion of this natural jade is considered quite rare. LOT NOTES:Fu-bat and "Shou" medallion Chinese calligraphy in petals form shape surrounded and decorated on the main body.
