A fine Chinese Shufu-type moulded stem bowl, Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368), moulded on the wall of the interior with a band of scrolling lotus, supported on a ribbed hollow stem, covered overall with an opaque unctuous white glaze with a faint bluish tinge, exposing the unglazed foot, 10.5 cm high x 12.8cm diameter Provenance: From the collection of the late J.B. da Silva (1918-2003) and by family descent. Bought from Christie's, 10th June 1991, Lot 113, for £670.00. No receipt but mentioned in collection notes.
