A pair of Chinese Dehua saddled horses, Kangxi, circa 1690, each facing inwards and standing with a single foreleg slightly bent on a rectangular base, covered in a white glaze, 8.3 cm high (2) Provenance: Formerly in a French collection, one with a Pierre Saque label, Paris. A similar horse in the Dresden Porzellansammlungen, formerly in the collection of Augustus The Strong, King of Saxony and Poland, listed in the Johannaeum inventory, no. N34 is illustrated by P. J.
