A Chinese cylindrical bamboo brushpot by Zhi Yuanfu, Qianlong Period, in the style of Wu Zhifan, with carved decoration of the Daoist immortal Wang Qiao holding his shoe and watching a flying goose, the reverse incised with a twenty-nine character inscription and signed Ju An (courtesy name of Zhi Yuanfu), 22cm high, 332 grams Provenance: Purchased by the late J.B. da Silva (1918-2003) at Chancellors Auctioneers, 26th April, 1982 for £185.00.
