A parcel-gilt wood figure of Bodhisattva Manjusri, Tibet or Bhutan, 18th century, seated in padmasana, on double lotus throne, his right hand raised wielding a sword, his left hand in vitarka mudra, wearing a crown and large hoop earrings, 18cm high Provenance: Purchased by the late J.B. da Silva (1918-2003) at Wentworth Auction Galleries, 23rd November 1977 (lot number not known) for £25.00 and by family descent. No receipt but itemised in collection notes.
