Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Narino culture, ca. 850 to 1500 CE. A trio of hand-built pottery jars of red-slipped designs decorated with dark negative resist motifs. The first jar has rectangular and diamond-shaped motifs atop its high shoulder as well as a thick, flared rim, and the larger vessel is decorated with parallel columns and crosshatched cruciform motifs. The largest round-bottomed jar has a carinated spherical body, a flared neck with 2 lug handles, and an upper body adorned with parallel lines, large X's, and plaited bands.
