AN ARCHAISTIC YELLOW JADE RETICULATED ‘CHILONG’ BI DISC, QINGChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or slightly later. Executed through manual techniques of carving and chiseling in the Han Dynasty style, displaying exceptional display of craftsmanship quality. The disc worked in openwork with two sinuous chilong with bifurcated tails around a twisted rope inner ring, the external band carved and incised with irregular archaistic scrolls. The semi-translucent stone of a yellow tone with subtle russet shadings.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and minuscule nibbling here and there. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Acquired in the Hong Kong antiques market in the early 1990s.Weight: 32 g Dimensions: Diameter 7.5 cm
