AN ARCHAISTIC CELADON JADE FIGURE OF A STANDING LADYChina, 20th century. Masterfully crafted in the style of the Han Dynasty, showing a high level of craftsmanship quality, all executed in manual carving and chiseling with no modern tool marks. The lady wears a long robe, the hands are clasped in front of her waist, the sleeves curve out attractively at the back and this movement is echoed by the hair which also curls outwards, the nose is broad, and the mouth is shown by a short horizontal line. There is a horizontal tubular headdress on the relatively large head, drilled through the interior and decorated with linear designs. The stone of a celadon tone with cloudy white inclusions and surface alterations.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and minuscule nibbling here and there. The underside of the robe with a small chip. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
