AN ARCHAISTIC FIRE-GILT COPPER REPOUSSÉ FIGURE OF A RECLINING PIGChina, style of the Tang dynasty - dating to the late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or slightly later. The reclining pig of slender form with rounded sides, its legs tucked underneath the body, the elongated ears pinned back, and the snout smoothly rounded. The figure adorned with neatly incised archaistic patterns, a round aperture to the bottom.Condition: Very good condition with minor surface wear, rubbing to the gilt, and areas of malachite encrustations. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Acquired in the Hong Kong antiques market in the early 1990s.Weight: 46 g Dimensions: Length 9.4 cm
