AN ARCHAISTIC FIRE-GILT COPPER REPOUSSÉ VESSEL WITH RAMSChina, style of the Tang dynasty - dating to the late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or slightly later. The vessel centered around two rams, the long cylindrical neck of the vessels rising from the joined bodies. The vessel adorned with finely incised archaistic patterns including swirls, spirals and leiwen motifs as well as a Taotie mask featured on either side of the neck.Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear, rubbing to the gilt, and areas of malachite, azurite, and cuprite encrustations. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
